It is essential to understand that every place is different in its environmental conditions. Packing according to the place is as necessary as food. Some might think, you just have to pack clothes (any kind) when going on a safari. However, it is important to realize the importance of right clothes. For example- wearing shorts for a snowy trek on a mountain or wearing jackets in the desert is not advisable. Similarly, being on a safari has its own do’s and don’ts.

The right clothes are the most specific and important part of the packing. It is advisable to wear clothes that cover your arms and legs so that if the person comes in contact with any harmful bushes or insects they do not have allergic reactions. Wearing layers of clothes is an alternative if it is comfortable with the travelers.

When on a Wildlife safari, one should go like on a covert operation. Always blend in the environment, avoid any bright colors or prints like polka dots. The bright colors might be disturbing for the animals or simply attract unwanted attraction. Wearing natural shades of khaki and beige/ green are perfect way to float in the jungle. Nothing flashy or bright is recorded in the good books of the animals, keeping them at home will be a really good idea. The second position after clothes is taken up by shoes; one should always wear comfortable shoes when on a safari. Pack light, there is not much time to keep changing clothes. Most of the time is spent amidst the nature which requires the kind of clothes described above. When on safari, one should stay calm and in the right company of the supervisor. Carry sunhats and sunglasses to avoid the sunburns and a first-aid kit, one should always be prepared.

Along with the things to do, one should be well aware of the things not to do. Not for a second should the travelers forget that jungle is the habitat of the animals and not humans. Abstain for disrespecting their environment in any way; do not litter, do not make loud noises and disturb the peace of the place. Always stay alert to your surroundings; never agitate an animal by doing something inappropriate and violent. Last but not the least, yes; photographs capture the memories and the enigmatically enchanting spirit of the jungle and animals. However, one is requested to stay calm while clicking pictured with the flash mode off.

As long as we respect our hosts of the jungle, they will treat us as their honored guests.
