The Lone Ranger

Safaris are commonly thought of as a group vacation. All of us at Tiger Safari India love large groups, but we find the lone traveller just as intriguing. We know that the forest is not an amusement park: on the contrary, it has life-changing lessons to teach you. Not that it doesn’t give you your proper fill of fun and merriment. It does. But that is not ALL that it does.

A jungle safari is also a fantastic retreat.

Closeness to nature helps, but we believe contact with wildlife brings people down to earth. Humans are far too obsessed trying to conquer the universe to notice who we are and how we have survived living with ferocious animals for thousands of years.

What about the primitive man who did not have civilisation to return to? He had to use every nerve and sense to prevent dying a very violent death.

We possess all these unused faculties still.

For people uninterested in wildlife, the forest offers solitude, peace, romance and history. Unlike most Indian retreats that claim to holistically heal with ayurveda and yoga, the only person healing you in the forest is you. And that process is irreversible.
