Day 1 : Arrival in New Delhi

Upon your arrival at the New Delhi airport you will be met by a Tigris Safaris representative after you clear Customs. Transfer in your chauffeur drive Tigris Safaris vehicle and your representative will assist with a smooth check-in at your hotel. All travel-related documents will be handed over to you and explained in detail.

Later in the day, you will be taken for a half-day tour of New Delhi. Take in the breathtaking view of the Qutab Minar, the ancient stone minaret dating back several centuries and the tallest stone tower in India. Continue to India Gate – a war memorial arch, and pass by the stately President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat buildings and Connaught Place – this is the heart of New Delhi and a busy commercial center.

Day 2 : New Delhi – Corbett National Park (275 km/ 5-6 hours drive)

This morning, check out after breakfast. Your Tigris Safaris chauffeur will meet you to drive you to Corbett National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your safari lodge. Enjoy a delightful bird walk this evening. Dinner at your lodge.

Day 3 : Corbett National Park

You will be woken up early this morning to embark upon your morning game drive into the national park. Corbett National Park is vast and the terrain is simply stunning. With the Lower Himalayas as a backdrop and rivers running through, it’s dense forest is full of an incredible range of flora and fauna. It was also the first park in India to launch the Project Tiger wildlife conservation initiative.

Return to your lodge in time for a leisurely lunch. Embark upon your afternoon game drive into the forest.

Tonight you will spend the night at the Dhikala Forest Lodge, which is located within the core zone of the national park, deep within the jungle.

The park is named for Jim Corbett, a big game hunter turned ardent conservationist during the British Raj in India. Corbett was largely responsible for having the park demarcated as a protected area and a game reserve to protect its wildlife.

Dinner at your lodge and evening at your leisure.

Day 4 : Corbett National Park

Early morning game drive through the vast jungles of Corbett. Corbett is home to several of India’s beautiful beasts including the Royal Bengal Tiger, the Asiatic Elephant, and the Asian Black Bear. Several herbivores, smaller felines and reptiles inhabit the park. It’s also a bird lover’s paradise and has a large population of both resident and migratory birds.

After lunch, head back out into the forest for your afternoon game drive. Dusk is a magical time in Corbett as the birds swing into their evening symphony and a golden glow is cast over the tree tops by the setting sun.

Tonight you will spend the night at the Dhikala Forest Lodge, which is located within the core zone of the national park, deep within the jungle.

Day 5 : Corbett National Park – New Delhi (275 km/ 5-6 hours drive)

After your early morning game drive and breakfast, check out and head back to New Delhi in your chauffeur-driven Tigris Safaris vehicle.

Upon arrival in New Delhi, check in at your hotel. Evening at your leisure and dinner at your hotel.

Day 6 : New Delhi – Jaipur (260 km/ approx. 5 hours drive)

This morning, you will be met by your Tigris Safaris guide for a half day tour of Delhi’s highlights. Begin with a visit to the Red Fort that was built by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jehan, who was known for his deep love for architecture. Continue to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Visit Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, after which we will take a delightful stroll on foot through the bylanes of Chandni Chowk, the heart of historic Delhi. You may opt to have lunch at a local restaurant or return to your hotel.

After lunch, your Tigris Safaris chauffeur drive vehicle will take you by road to Jaipur. Evening arrival in Jaipur, and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 7 : Jaipur

Begin your tour of Jaipur with a visit to the massive ramparts of Amber Fort., from where the Kacchawa clan ruled until the 1700s. You may opt to take an elephant ride to the top of the fortress, where you will enter the fortifications and visit the Temple of Kali, the Hall of Victory and the Jagmandir temple.

After lunch, visit the highlights of the Pink City, including the Jantar Mantar observatory, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) the City Palace and Museum, and the bustling bazaars in the historic part of town. Jaipur is known for its shopping from precious stones to handicrafts. Return to your hotel and evening at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 8 : Jaipur – Ranthambore (180 km/ 3 hours drive)

This morning, your Tigris Safaris chauffeur will drive you to Ranthambore. Check in at your safari lodge. Post lunch, head into the forest for an afternoon game drive through Ranthambore National Park. Return to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight in Ranthambore.

Day 9 : Ranthambore National Park

This morning, wake up early for your morning game drive through Ranthambore National Park. Ranthambore was the erstwhile hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, and is nestled among the Aravalli hills. The park is dotted with thick copses of trees and scrubby brush, as well as several ancient ruins. A magnificent fortress and temple lie at the highest point of the park.

This morning return to your lodge for a late breakfast. The afternoon is at your leisure until your afternoon game drive back into the park.

Ranthambore is known for its sizable tiger population, many of which hunt during both the day and the night. It is full of birds and several other species of animals.

Return to your lodge for dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 10 : Ranthambore – Agra (265 km/ 5 hours drive)

After an early morning game drive in the park, return for breakfast and then check out to embark on your journey by road to Agra in your Tigris Safaris chauffeur driven vehicle. Check in to your hotel. Visit the Agra Fort. A marvel of architecture in red sandstone, its walls stand over twenty meters high with a huge moat surrounding it.

Overnight in Agra.

Day 11 : Agra – Khajuraho

This morning, visit the Taj Mahal, the magnificent monument which is considered to be one of the wonders of the world. Built in the mid-1700s, it was conceived by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan as a monument of love for his wife Mumtaz. Over 20,000 labourers from various parts of the world pooled their skill to create this magnificent mausoleum that has been immortalized in white Makrana marble and embellished with onyx, amethyst, lapis lazuli, turquoise, jade, crystal and several other semi-precious stones that were brought from as far as Tibet, China and the Indian Ocean. (Note: The Taj Mahal is closed to the public on Fridays)

In the afternoon board flight to arrive Khajuraho at 1500hrs. Met at the Airport and drive to hotel, check in. In the evening proceed to see the Sound and Light Show at the 1000 year old Temples.

Day 12 : Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh

Visit the heritage temple site. These temples are intricately carved. An ancient local legend held that Hindu deity Shiva and other gods enjoyed visiting the dramatic hill formation in Kalinjar area. The center of this region is Khajuraho, set midst local hills and rivers. The temple complex reflects the ancient Hindu tradition of building temples where gods love to play. The three important temples can be covered in about two hours.

Then drive to Bandhavgarh, 265kms, 5-6 hours drive. Check into the hotel.

Bandhavgarh is one of the most beautiful parks in Central India and has deep historic roots. The park is named for the fortress that towers over the jungle. Enjoy an adventurous ride through the park and return to your lodge in the late morning. Enjoy a delightful lunch and some rest before heading out into the park again this afternoon.

Bandhavgarh is known for its incredible tiger density and it is unusual not to spot these felines among its thick Sal and Bamboo groves. The park is full of several other animals as well as birds and is a beautiful habitat.

Return to your lodge in the evening. Evening at your leisure and dinner at the lodge.

Day 13 : Bandhavgarh National Park

Early morning wake up call at around 05:00 hrs. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee and get ready for your early morning game drive into Bandhavgarh National Park. Early mornings are a great time to observe birds and carnivores returning home after a night of hunting. Keep an eye out among the grasses to catch sight of a tiger taking a nap after a meal. Bandhavgarh is full of herbivores and reptiles and there is plenty of activity amid the jungle. Wild boars, sloth bears, porcupines, foxes, primates and several other animals scurry through the undergrowth.

Return to your lodge in time for lunch and a leisurely afternoon. Head out into the park again for your evening game drive. Return in time for dinner and relaxed evening at your leisure.

Day 14 : Bandhavgarh National Park

Early morning wake up call at around 05:00 hrs. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee and get ready for your early morning foray into the jungle. Bandhavgarh is not only prime tiger terrain but is also a natural habitat for another big cat, the leopard. These elusive creatures are spotted among the thick foliage in the treetops, along with several species of birds – both exotic and native. Return to your lodge for lunch and a rest before heading out for your evening game drive into the park. Sunset is always beautiful in Bandhavgarh as the diurnal birds and animals get ready to settle down for the evening, and the nocturnal species spring to life.

Return to your lodge in time for dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 15 : Bandhavgarh – Kanha (280 km/ 6 hours drive)

After your early morning game drive in Bandhavgarh this morning, check out post breakfast. Your Tigris Safaris chauffeur will drive you south to your next destination – Kanha National Park.

Arrival in Kanha National Park and transfer directly to your safari lodge. Check in and the rest of the day is at your leisure to rest. Enjoy dinner at your lodge this evening.

Day 16 : Kanha National Park

Early morning wake up call at 5:00 AM. Enjoy tea or coffee in bed and then get ready to head out into the national park for your early morning game drive. This is the original ground for Kipling’s epic story, Jungle Book. Kanha is one of India’s largest and most beautiful parks and is rife with wildlife. It is one of the best places to see the tiger as well as several other species of flora and fauna. Kanha is full of water-bodies, which garner a large bird population – both resident and migratory. It is a stunning landscape with dense foliage opening out onto grassy meadows.

Breakfast is served to you in the park, picnic style on the bonnet of your jeep!

Return to your lodge at around 11:30 hrs. Freshen up and enjoy a delicious lunch. Relax for the rest of the day amid the environs of your lodge. Go for a walk, relax on a charpoy, or read a book from a well-stocked library.

This afternoon, head back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Kanha is lovely in the evening especially towards dusk as the birds start to bed down in the trees for the evening.

Return to your lodge. Enjoy a delicious dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 17 : Kanha National Park

Early morning wake up call at 05:00 hrs. Enjoy tea or coffee in bed and get ready for your early morning game drive into the national park. Kanha forms a corridor with Pench National Park, which is one of the finest tiger habitats in India. Early mornings are an excellent time to spot the magnificent feline on its way home after a night of hunting.

Return to your lodge at around 11:30 hrs. Freshen up and enjoy a relaxed lunch and a lazy afternoon rest, before heading out again for your afternoon game drive into the national park.

Return to your lodge. Evening at your leisure and dinner at your lodge.

Day 18 : Kanha National Park – Pench National Park (210 km/ 4-5 hour drive)

After an early morning game drive in Kanha National Park, return to your lodge and check out after breakfast. Your Tigris Safaris chaufeur will meet you to drive you to Pench National Park. Upon arrival in Pench, you will be transferred directly to your safari lodge. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Dinner is at your lodge.

Day 19 : Pench National Park

Early morning wake up call with tea or coffee at approximately 05:00 hrs. Get ready for your game drive into Pench National Park. Pench is one of the most beautiful parks in Central India, and evokes a tremendous feeling of tranquility. It forms a tiger corridor with Kanha and has a healthy population of felines. It’s also home to quite a few leopards and has an enormous diversity of bird life. The park is split into two distinct zones – east and west – by the River Pench, which flows through the park.

Return to your lodge to enjoy lunch and a rest, before heading out for your afternoon game drive into the park. Dusk is a terrific time to see the forest come into it’s nocturnal being as Pench has several night birds and animals that are out on the prowl after dark.

Return to your lodge in time for dinner and the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 20 : Pench National Park

Early morning wake up call with tea or coffee and head out into the forest for your early morning game drive. Early mornings are a beautiful time in Pench as the sun rises over the hills and floods the park. Pench is full of dense copses of Teak trees and the light filters through creating a serene ambience. The park is full of life in the mornings as deer graze, birds come to life, monkeys chatter and small animals scurry through the undergrowth. If you look carefully into the tall grass you might spot a tiger taking a nap in the morning sun.

Return to your lodge and enjoy a leisurely lunch and a rest. Head back into the park this afternoon for your evening game drive. Return to the lodge in time for dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 21 : Pench National Park – Nagpur (100 km/ 2 hours drive)

This morning enjoy your last game drive in India through the serene environs of Pench. Return to your lodge and check out after lunch. Your Tigris Safaris chauffeur will drive you to the airport in Nagpur to board your flight to New delhi. A Tigris Safaris representative will assist you with check in formalities at the airport. Board your flight to make your connection to New Delhi.

A Tigris Safaris representative will meet you at the airport in New Delhi to transfer you to a nearby hotel where you can relax and freshen up. Transfer back to the international airport in New Delhi. A Tigris Safaris representative will assist you with check formalities for your onward international flight connection.
